Get Involved with Intergroup as a Meeting Rep
NOVA Intergroup meets once a month and every OA group is
encouraged to send one voting representative; however, you need not be a voting representative to participate. This is where we learn about
all kinds of special events, pick up new meeting lists and newsletters, and experience the joy of giving back what we have been so freely given by this fellowship.
Share your experience, strength, and hope through the newsletter
NOVA Intergroup publishes a monthly newsletter, "Novation", with news of special events and stories from
members. Please help carry the message by sharing your experience, strength and hope in a newsletter article.
The format basically includes a story about the step and tradition of the month but can also include several other stories about other topics.
This is also a great medium to announce new meetings and special events.
Past issues can be seen on the Newsletter page.
If you would like to submit any material, please send a message to novations@oanova.org.

Sponsor a Workshop, Marathon or Retreat
The Special Events Committee is always interested in organizing workshops, marathons or retreats.
They especially appreciate groups who are willing to sponsor events by
helping to put together the agenda, line up speakers and/or other volunteers,
etc.
The committee has taken up the challenge to host a workshop every month
following Intergroup. They just need groups to sponsor them by coming up with the topic and coordinating
speakers. The workshops are generally about 3 hours long (usually 1-4 with optional brown bag lunch)
and can be on anything related to recovery.
For more information, send an email to the special
events committee.
Monitor the Hotline
NOVA Intergroup has purchased a new Tracfone to ensure callers to the Hotline have an opportunity to speak with a live person. We need volunteers to take the phone for a period of time (week, two weeks, month, etc). If you are interested in performing this great service for newcomers, visitors, and returning members, please send an email to tracfone@oanova.org. If you are currently performing this service and need/want to turn it over to a new volunteer, please send an email to the same address.
